US$2.5 million pilot project to go ahead following Instant Road Repair approval
Quikfix Instant Road Repair has succeeded in both government laboratory and field tests receiving its product approval certificate for nationwide use.
The field test was conducted in the capital, Yaoundé, witnessed by HE Abba Sadou, Minister of Public Contracts, Mr. Bekolo and Mr. Sigoue, representing the Minister of Public Works, Mr. Ekitty Koumkang, representing the Prime Minister together with Mr. Brian Olley, British High Commissioner, Mr. Toff Wahab, Deputy High Commissioner, and Mr. Steve Evans, Vice Consul. Mr. Philip Deighton, Quikfix Executive Chairman, was also present to watch Technical Support Manager, Mr. Nicholas Holmes, supervise the work of the local Quikfix repair crew. The British High Commissioner hosted a reception at his residence following the field trial. Officials and members of the public who were present at the demonstration were impressed both by the speed of repairs and that they could be driven over immediately following compaction - with no curing, drying or settling time. A major pilot project is now scheduled to be carried out in the Autumn 2019. |
