Our man in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Charles Umba, has been appointed Managing Director of Quikfix DRC Limited.

Having incorporated the company, Charles is now busy securing contracts with a view to becoming operational later in the year.

The French-speaking DRC has a population of 75 million and is the second largest country in Africa by area and the eleventh largest in the world.

The road network is not good, with less than 1,300km of paved roads and over 160,000km of unpaved roads, tracks and country roads.
